The Most Beautiful Flower

Once there was a competition between flowers,
They wanted to find who was the most beautiful among them.
First came the Rose and proclaimed itself fair,
For its colors are lustrous and sublime.
Then arrived Jasmine, immaculate and clear,
And told of its divine fragrance and perfume.
Then entered Sunflower with its brilliant yellow color,
And told that it worships the sun by the way it blooms.
Then arrived Shoe flower with its vibrance and shimmer,
And said its medicinal properties with pride and vim.
Finally came the beauty, the Water Lily with pudency and honor,
But did not utter a word like the other different blossoms.
For everyone knows of its worth and splendor,
It is edible, ornamental, medicinal and it purifies the ecosystem.
So it was given the diadem for its grace and luster,
And was crowned as the most beautiful flower among all of them.

Penning the Pain

Whenever I am in despair,
I bleed on paper.
That is the only way to drown
All my sorrows and mourn.
Because words we speak might fade,
But what we write will never vade.
I am sensitive but strong,
I will never use my words wrong.
I will write until I perish,
Which is the only joy I cherish.

Cinderella's Shoes

I told my creator, the cobbler,
To make me more beautiful
Than all the shoes he ever made.
I wanted to be as shiny as star
That I never wanted to be dull,
And my gleam should never fade.
I wanted to be precious and rare
That everyone must ogle,
As I must resemble a Jade.
I wanted to be lucid and clear,
As though made of crystal,
That everyone covets my pulchritude.
The one who wears me must be fair,
Humble, modest and respectful,
And the most elegant maid.

- And thus, I was worn by Cinderella.

A Lesson from Butterflies

Don't you all admire my beauty?
But the path I came wasn't easy;
It was through struggle and fray
I came back lively.
My species are killed brutally
When they're in the stages of prematurity.
For we look so ugly
In our development phase early;
We are unpleasant caterpillars unless we grow fully.
But as we emerge completely,
Everyone adores our elegance and delicacy;
Remind yourself daily,
That success will never come suddenly;
Only through failures and inadequacy
One can achieve victory.

Bundle of Joy

I asked God to give me complete happiness,
He listened to my prayers,
And blessed me with twice
The grace I asked the Lord of Lords;
How merciful the Lord is,
That he heeded to my pleas!
My God had granted me my wishes,
I got impregnated with twins;
The children of my precations
Are yet to arrive the Universe,
But as I feel their kicks and swirls,
I knew they are happy as their mother is;
For God had created them with a purpose,
And they are the children of promise.

Yours truly, Honeybee

I might be too tiny,
But I help humans survive
By means of various policy;
I aid flowers thrive
And vegetables grow vigorously,
I succor plants arrive
Through pollination methodology;
I quench people with my hive
Full of delicious honey;
If I stop being alive,
Human kind will perish abruptly;
So kindly let us outlive,
Yours truly, honeybee.

His Majesty!

The King of the jungle rests in the grassland,
Wearing coronet of royalty and dignity;
Ruling over every animal of the land,
He establishes his supremacy over the vicinity;
How great is his empire over the savanna and its rand,
That each and every being in his domain glorifies his Majesty!

Hailstorm

The sky turned dark suddenly,
And the mushroom shaped clouds
That were dark and gloomy
Covered the sky all around,
Followed by lightning and thunder vehemently,
Scaring everyone with it's brilliance and sound;
As we sneaked through the window panickingly,
We saw hailstones falling down aloud,
The supercooled water crystals descending rapidly
From the misty nimbus clouds.

Dainty Doe

Why is a dame always compared to a doe,
When illustrating her beauty?
Is it because of the way it walks narrow,
Or the inherently kohled eyes that sparkle gracefully,
Or its call pleasant to hear as a musical bow,
Or the length of its neck admirably pretty,
Or its elegant slenderness from head to toe,
Or the nature's irresistibly alluring artistry?

Dandelion

I fly from afar
Leaving my family,
In the Summer
To various topography;
I land and prosper
At once colorfully,
As a plant from aster
Being used medicinally;
Soon I lack moisture,
Carrying my progeny
Everywhere over
My head as heraldry;
Sooner or later
With the wind I flee,
Pale in color
Soft as cotton candy,
To bloom somewhere
In the next Spring early.

Thorns have Roses

Not each day in life's a harmony,
That we joyously sing melody;
Not each day in life's a melancholy,
That we bewail and bemourn the tragedy.

Without knowing what is distress,
How will you know pride and exultation?
Without knowing what is malice,
How will you know the worth of affection?

Enjoy each and every day as it elapses,
Be it a day of success or grievance;
Be optimistic praising thorns have roses,
Never whinge that roses have thorns.

Inspiring Love

At the end of the tiresome day
As I reached home from work,
She was sitting at the bay
Awaiting my arrival to lurk.

We planned to go out tonight
As it was a long time,
Since we went on a date;
But I stood her up again without aim.

Yet, she understood my busy schedule
And unfortunate circumstances in life;
She stood beside me being my mettle,
I am always grateful to have her as my wife.
