Where will you find me
If I run away in agony,
Hiding all my pain,
Of missing you again?
Where will you find me?
Behind the gallows tree,
Singing songs of melancholy,
And swinging in the tree?
Where will you find me?
In the deep blue sea,
Swimming across a channel,
Or mithing behind a hill?
Do you think I would fly,
Into the moonlit sky,
Moving from you afar,
Concealing behind a star?
How will I flee,
Leaving you lonely,
Despite our loyal vows,
Despite our virtuous love?
Where will you find me?
Seek me in your glee;
I will be dancing in delight,
In the joy of my dearest.
Find me in your sorrow,
I will comfort you in your woe;
Find me in your pride,
For I will be your glorious coronet.
Find me in your angst,
I will strengthen your heart;
Find me beneath your lovely soul,
For that is where I truly dwell.
