I never knew what loneliness was
Until she left me in a lurch.
It all happened within seconds,
Before I could recognize she had vanished.
Each moment without her
Appeared like abyss;
I awoke trembling in my slumber,
As she flashed before my eyes.
I can't help my eyes pricking
Each time I think of her.
Tears percolate as spring
Though it has been months since her departure.
The most powerful weapon, death,
Took her away from me;
She returned to the earth
Leaving me lonely.
How will I see her again?
How will I ever talk to her?
She had decomposed in the terrain,
Leaving me in misery and displeasure.
She is not my sibling or my love,
She is not my mother,
But to whose love I always bow,
She is my guardian angel, my God mother.
She raised me as her own daughter,
With endless love and care;
How will I ever forget her?
How will I show her my honor?
"True love never demands
Anything in return"
This is what I had learned
From my loving guardian.
Dedicated to my Grandmother
